Feedback on Tier Changes
🕑 Added 2024-11-09 01:48:49 +0000 UTCUPDATE: Some folks are asking for a clarifcation/breakdown of what the new tiers would look like.
$1 - Removed entirely.
$3 - Everything that was $1 (mainly adult stuff) and products from my Renderhub that are under $10.
$10 - Products on my Renderhub that are over $10.
If I had to place a rough estimate on my product pricing on Renderhub, the vast majority of my assets are under $10, which means they would stay in the $3 tier.
Note that I consider "$9.99" to be UNDER $10.
By only having assets that are over $10 on Renderhub in the $10 tier, even if I just release one over $10 asset a month you'd still be getting a better deal than if you had bought it directly from my Renderhub in the first place.
The real benefit would be cases such as my Gladiatorae pack, which was $35.99.
Using Gladiatorae as an example (which is currently in the $3 tier), that's over a 90% discount. If it was in the $10 tier, that would still be an almost 75% discount for you guys.
There's also the fact that if I'm not releasing enough products to justify an upgrade to $10, you could always just fall right back to the $3 tier and still get everything that's under $10 on Renderhub, then simply edit your pledge when a bigger-ticket item comes along on Renderhub and you want an easy discount.
Simply put no matter which tier you decide to pledge to and as long as you stay on top of your pledges and modify accordingly based on your own situation and preferences, you're always going to be getting a better price than what you see on Renderhub.
And before anyone worries, no I do NOT plan on just raising my prices on Renderhub to force $10 pledges.
There are simply some assets that I put a lot more effort into making that I think deserve a little bit higher of a price tag, such as environments, clothing packs, and some of my wilder conversions like the Predator one I did awhile back. I don't want to screw you guys over, but I do want to try and meet somewhere in the middle if possible.

First off I want to thank all of you for your support when it comes to the random assets I produce. I really appreciate it!
That said, I'm considering some changes to the tiers but I want feedback before I go and do something universally-hated by everyone.
Firstly, I'm considering nuking the $1 tier and instead putting the $1 stuff into the $3 tier instead. At the time of writing this, I have 100 members in the $1 tier.
Second, I'm considering adding another tier (probably $10) for my more expensive Hub products.
Essentially, the $3 tier would still be getting some of the products I release on Renderhub as well as the smaller "simpler" assets that still need to be put behind a paywall due to Patreon TOS.
The $10 tier however would be dedicated to the stuff that is over $10 on my Renderhub. Obviously in cases where I'm selling something for $15-20 this would result in a nice discount for you folks, plus as always there's no obligation to you guys to stay pledged if I'm not producing to your satisfaction.
So...thoughts? Comments?
I'm gonna run a poll to get a quick and dirty opinion specifically on this question:
"How comfortable are you with the idea of a $3 tier to handle both my cheaper Hub assets/simpler adult assets and the creation of a $10 tier for my more expensive Hub assets?"

I mean the poll could be ideas that Peg's wants to do already, but seeing what the "masses" wants also lets the Peg's know what might sell better on the R-Hub better since if were all asking for an item others might be in the same boat. Could also do multi round polling e.g. Prop, Enviro, Morph, Poses. Then the winner can be refined even farther. Peg, what is the logic behind what you make? commissions? items people in discord requested? random desire of an item? do you also make comics/adult novels if so where's the link :P ?

I second Josh's polling idea as it would be nice to have some interaction on here as I don't really do discord as its yet another thing to have to visit. But I also understand that it is sometimes a drag to focus your energies on what the masses want over your own desired creative output.

Personally I have used your pose packs so often it is insane. The hands and feet poses in particular. The Gladiator gear also very much so. While your prime time erotica I never really use at all, I appreciate its artistry and it continues to inspire. You are one of a handful of inspirations that put us on our Daz path as a seller in our own right and I feel that a mere $10 is more than acceptable. Pricing is very difficult as you do not want to limit people but you also do not want to lose out on sales. It is a tough balance. In short thank you and as 101 other Patreons (so far) feel it is a great idea.

I consider myself way ahead of the game in the $3 tier, it will be years before I've paid enough for what I've gotten. That said, a $10 tier is not particularly interesting to me, I don't use or download all your assets, so the question would be how many bigger sets would I actually want to use. If you made a $5 tier I could see moving to it, and I mean replacing the $3 one.

I can't make any guarantees that my posting will become more regular unfortunately, because the making of assets is **completely** contingent upon whatever time I have left over after making entirely too much smut on my "main" platforms. As for asset requests, yes! Just keep in mind what I said about the whole "depends on time" thing. Also this goes for anyone who has requests...PLEASE DM ME ON DISCORD. It's MUCH easier to get ahold of me there, plus it has the benefit of allowing me to keep all work-related things in one place.

I and others Id say don't mind the price increase, but as a give and take how about a poll for some of the items your going to work on tho? Or at the least a pipeline, nothing extravagant needed just nice to know what's upcoming. There's been a few items you released just days after I bought a similar item elsewhere :( and yours tend to work well/better /have better textures.

I would perhaps keep the 1 dollar tier and post as you're doing now, just without a download link. If people want to download the asset, then they'll have to spend 3 dollars instead. Though, that is me saying it without knowing your fanbase and what you can get away with.

It was beyond time that I upgrade my tier here anyways. I end up buying most of your stuff on renderhub to begin with. You honestly could charge way more. The quality of your assets is leaps and bound above most of the other things I end up picking up.

The proposed newly priced tiers sound good, provided posts are consistent. Namely, if there is, like, 2 clothing items and maybe 1 environment per month? ALSO, been meaning to ask, do you accept Daz asset-making requests? Because I definitely have some, and having tested your assets for months I have confidence you could make what I'm looking for.

Thank you, your update definitely made it clearer. Your thought behind it is also understandable for assets you have put a lot of effort into. I thought SaintMichael95's suggestion of delayed release was very good and is also often the practice on Patreon. That would also work for people who absolutely want it right away, as you suggested in another post, people could then "temporarily" switch to $10.

Also to further clarify, that pose pack you mentioned in September **would stay in the $3 tier.** The only things going in the $10 tier is anything that's MORE than $10 on Renderhub.

Just clarify the *bulk* of my Patreon would actually hardly change. The only things that would be going into my $10 tier would be anything that's over $10 on Renderhub, and I typically don't make *too* many things over that amount. Really the biggest change is to the $1 tier, which would effectively be eliminated and leave only the $3 tier and the $10 tier.

TBH $10 is a lot, especially if the posting of assets is as sporadic as it is now. In Sept the only thing posted at all was a pose set. I'm okay with throwing $3/month even hardly anything gets posted like that since your stuff is so good, but if there's a price increase then I'd be wondering if there was a more consistent posting schedule.

I'm not sure honestly. I guess it would depend on how often you plan on releasing one of those products that's $15+. A potential alternative could be a delayed release. $10 tier gets a more expensive renderhub product immediately upon release, and $3 tier gets it like a month later or however long you feel is appropriate.

I am a $3 backer and am not 100% convinced by the idea. If we want individual products we would buy them on Renderhub, of course I don't know what your turnover is like on Renderhub. For me it's long-term support and then the products that are something for me. If that pool gets smaller then I'm not sure if it's worth it for me.

I'd be totally on board with this. I've *more* than gotten my $3 out of this and I would absolutely be on board for the all-you-can-eat plan, especially if that helps you budget around this in a more predictable way
