The version of Blender 2.8 I was using didn't render dead particles despite me telling it to, so I guess the snow just disappears. Otherwise 2.8 is looking ok, and it was nice getting some help from folks on Newgrounds. (Also yeah I have a newgrounds account for more actual original art stuff......
