The Linux Experiment

That's a good way of doing it! It also "compartments" activities, with youtube watching being in its own "app", which is probably a good way to not zoning out for hours :D

Very nice, thanks! I'll start creating my rules there, then!

I use a separate browser for watching Youtube. I have the browser set to remember the open tabs and the first tab is set to my 'subscriptions'. I very rarely click on videos 'offered' to me by Google, unless it's by someone I already know and realized I missed a video by them I want to watch. Of course, I may 'explore' when a person is recommended by someone I watch or if I use the search and look for a particular topic, etc.

Hello Nick, I'm using rules in Thunderbirds in order to apply tags: it's a built-in option, it does not require any extension. The trick is that is named "Filters" and not "Rules" ... ;-) 1. Open the hamburger menu 2. Enter "Tools" 3. Choose "Filters" (or "Message filters" maybe ? "Filtres des messages" in French) 4. Click on "New" and... there you go ;-) I use it because I too many e-mail accounts (private, pro job1, pro job2, university, common address for family) and I want to show mails from different accounts in different colors. There used to be an extension for that ("Account colors") but it didn't survive the changes in extensions' API and the drop of legacy support in TB 74.
