The Linux Experiment
Yeah, this is definitely worrying. I've been following this from afar, I'm waiting to see where it goes to see if I should report on it, or if it's just a lot of concern over someone dodging a law or 2

Yeah, now that the kernel has a bunch of patches to support older models properly, I guess it's the least annoying option

A point of concern in your homeland called to my attention by EFF: === The French Detention: Why We're Watching the Telegram Situation Closely === eff.org/deeplinks/2024/08/french-detention-why-were-watching-telegram-situation-closely EFF is closely monitoring the situation in France in which Telegram’s CEO Pavel Durov was charged with having committed criminal offenses, most of them seemingly related to the operation of Telegram. This situation has the potential to pose a serious danger to security, privacy, and freedom of expression for Telegram’s 950 million users.

Ironically, the best "Linux" tablet I have had is a Microsoft Surface. Nothing like seeing the look on my Windows fan friend's face, when he sees it booting up with a Linux Distro name.

Same, I love to see the different ideas the devs come up with. It is often that you will see some of the ideas brought to other distros over time as well. It is what I love about open source.

Pretty cool to see elementary os still being actively maintained. While the UI is not my personal cup of tea, I appreciate their work to make a cohesive looking os.
