The Linux Experiment
Totally, it's a great device, and Valve should definitely expand the line to a home console as well, I think

I'll admit I don't know enough about each language to have an informed opinion! From what I'm seeing, Rust seems to allow writing stuff a bit faster than C, like Exchange support for Thunderbird, or some of the recent open source nvidia drivers, but that's about all I know!

At the risk of dipping into more language fashion, I wonder if Zig would be a better candidate for kernel integration because of its C interop? I can understand resistance to Rust, it's a big architecture commitment, only has one compiler, and even with internal memory safety, I'm sure its complexity means it has frayed edges.

I have no issue with the notification. I like donating to projects I use and just upped my donation to KDE. Agree a static donation in settings or something.

The steamdeck was a genius move by Valve and it shows through their sales.
