Hope you can knock out the bug quickly. Developers do have ego issues (from personal experience). When they are not being managed it can get out of hand. They should do some browsing on GitHub and see that their work isn't that special or unique. They should be joyous if it is useful, and not seek universe domination.

Feel well Nick. That's why I use fedora as it's keep updating almost like a rolling release which make it harder environment for discovering vulnerability, from my experience its pretty stable. Imo, What make some hackers targeting Ubuntu if they want is a bit popular between non tech users as lts not same as roling or semi releases. At the end as soon as we are open source this is our strength and strong point find it and fix it, big thanks for the community. Thanks.

Projects were also toxic in the past. But there are more people who don't accept that anymore. And that is a good thing! But you've right. Also toxic people are more present now.
