I have the orange bezel on my FW16 and it's not nearly as irritating as I thought it might be

The FW16 is 16:10 which really messes up certain games. Destiny 2 for example has no idea how to deal with it, even after I properly configure my resolution (2560x1600; it's technically a HiDPI display but I would only run it at 150% scaling, not 200%)

The Framework 16 doesn't come with anything "by default". The price ($1,399 starting) includes the expansion bay shell (marked up to $119 on the marketplace from $99 new) and the GPU is an extra $399. You can also get both if you can't decide (+$499). So in some sense "no GPU" is the default, though most people I would think want the GPU. You're forced to explicitly make that decision when ordering anyway though. Source: I have one! I eventually snagged the GPU and swapped it out. Well worth the $500ish USD imo

Maybe you could consider mastodon and your discord server for the giveaway too? I don't know what kind of policies each platform has in place when it comes to giveaways, but it can probably be complicated to navigate.

The Linux Experiment

Yeah, it did work really easily, but even when trying to use Resolve with the dGPU, performance simply wasn't solid enough for me. maybe I missed something, or maybe it's just the fact that openCL is just not as good as CUDA for Resolve. As per the giveaway, not sure, it probably would be a patreon / youtube member only thing to avoid the usual pitfalls of Youtube not liking these things.

It's unfortunate that DaVincibox has a high performance loss. It did sound too good to be true to easily install Resolve on linux through a container :( Do you have an idea on how you would organize a giveaway if framework doesn't want the computer back? Last time you did a giveaway it didn't go too well lol.
