Doakes wasn't doing his job when it came to dexter, ever. It was always seemingly his hobby to harass a coworker based on instinct, his choice and his responsibility. I'm just saying, he got himself into this situation. Dexter didn't target him, doakes forced a target on himself.

Doakes was such a good character. I hated that he died too, and reflecting on it, I think his death was meant to show how even though Dexter has convinced himself he’s only killing innocent people there are bound to be innocents caught in the crossfire. I think it’s very realistic for the story they are telling. Loved your reactions this season India, I hope you enjoy season 3 more.

Harry a whole weirdo im sorry but yea theres so much more he couldve done for Dexter than literally ENCOURAGE him to kill and yes he did encourage him and make him "perfect" his craft YIKES and yea the way he treated Deb was eww. James being killed by Lila out of all people was upsetting lol

James's death was all Lila. Dex wasn't going to kill him. C'mon India even though Doakes died I thought it deserved an 8/10 at least. It had lots of tension, excitement and and Dexter evolved in terms of his relationships and self knowledge and acceptance. Please do season 3 ASAP, it might make the pain of Doakes's death fade :) It's like watching all over again with your reactions, the same old enjoyment is resurfacing for me.

India's reaction said it all. Of all the ways for Doakes to go 💀 RIP 💀 makes me wonder what the next season will bring. At least it won't be Lila 😅(Although I will say the actor played her character well)
