SOME EXCLUSIVE 2025 NEW YEARS RESOLUTION NEWS, THOUGH!
I just may be attempting to start up another BL webcomic! It’s still in script phase but I have the 2 main boys and all major plot points laid out. This will NOT be replacing Patchwork, PW will ALWAYS be my little pet project priority, and I plan on making this new one’s art a bit more simple/stylized in comparison so it doesn’t take up as much ‘detail’ time (god help me I just finished coloring the PW rehearsal night scene and it took forever 😅)
The main reasons that I’m even CONSIDERING making this work is:
1. I got a random idea/hook for this story almost a year ago and it’s slowly been bubbling up in my brain ever since. And then I realized how long it would take to start if I waited for Patchwork to end, like I’ll be so old and I already wanna start it now lol
2. I have/always have had a strong backlog of PW pages and wouldn’t start posting this one until I was comfortable with a big backlog of both to avoid time crunches, freelance job interference, etc. But I’ve juggled plenty of side projects (G&T, redrawing Bettencourt, etc) while S&S was happening with NO backlog so I don’t believe it’s too out of the realm of reality!
Saying all that, would y’all be interested in meeting the boys? (Spoiler alert: they all have their eyeballs this time!) I know you guys are here to see PW and S&S each week but it could maybe be a fun behind-the-scenes ‘creation’ saga to join me on, kinda like what I tried here with Patchwork all those year ago?

I can definitely see how some adults (especially without kids) can feel like they’re missing out on the “Christmas joy” and I’m sorry for those that that feel that way 😢 I don’t have kids but for me it’s more the excitement of decorations, cooking, shopping/buying gifts for friends and fam, etc. Some of those little things make a big difference ☺️

Happy New Year. I find the inverse is true. You get less excited for it as a adult, unless you have kids, then you're excited for for them. That said, some things don't grow up for: buy an advent calendar, buy an easter egg. I'm trying to keep the festive spirit though it hasn't been the same for me. Personal loss reasons. As long as you also don't overwork yourself too then yes, yes a thousand times yes to meet the new boys 😁😁😁 Happy New Year
