I was thinking something similar. This doesn’t feel like the start of a book but more like books that have long epilogues from a bunch if different POVs that just show a bunch of different things happening elsewhere

I think these chapters should be the ending of the previous book, not the start of a new one. Depends on how many of them will be, of course, but it feels like a fast-forward epilogue from different PoVs.
