To test their crime-eradicating cyborgs, the company leads street cop Alex Murphy (Peter Weller) into an armed confrontation with crime lord Boddicker (Kurtwood Smith) so they can use his body to support their untested RoboCop prototype. But when RoboCop learns of the company's nefarious plans, he turns on his masters.

When the cops were on strike it reveled the character of citizens, all the scumbag vermin looted, burned and assaulted. Feels familiar.

The scumbag realised Robocop was Murphy because Murphy said to him before he was ambushed by the rest of the gang "Dead or alive, you are coming with me" and he said the line the same way at the gas station.
