I'm not sure the metal spike would penetrate Homelander's head, even thrust by a supe like Maeve, after all bullets have enormous velocity and momentum but can't penetrate. Also I guess Maeve was lucky Homelander still wanted her eggs lol and didn't go all out on her.

It's intentional, the standard demonisation in Hollywood and the media of Trump and anyone conservative. The problem with it is in reality the vast majority of manipulation, lies and media corruption is perpetrated by the left, or to be fair the apolitical deep state elite using the left. It is amusing though, all the talking points in social media politics regurgitated in the show. Stormfront was a bit on the nose though, an actual Nazi obviously meant to represent anyone against the political left. We all have seen crazy SJWs on social media call anyone that disagrees with their delusional worldview a Nazi lol. Still, it's so routine in film and TV now that I don't let it ruin my enjoyment of what is otherwise a great show, and Homelander is one disturbed SOB.

That last part with Homelander reminded me of one of Trump's campaigns when he said "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?". Can't wait to see how this story pushes forward 🔥also RIP Noir he was one of my favorites :(
