Coming to y'all today from the St. Louis airport (after getting 616 words in my 100KQ4 project, woo)!

I'm on my way to NYC for the book launch of my friend Wallis Kinney's A DARK AND SECRET MAGIC. I was so fortunate to get to beta read for Wallis and I'm even more fortunate to get to celebrate with her in person! Only another plane ride and a couple more days to go. :)
My goal is to explore some New York coffee shops, try not to buy too many books, and catch up on my words for UNDER THE INFLUENCE. I'm about a thousand words off track for the 100KQ4 Challenge, but I feel super confident in being able to make them up! Look at the great start we're off to:
It's so fun seeing the lines move up and down and zig and zag their way as we write. I can't wait to catch up with y'all on how you're progressing in our next Patreon stream this Friday, October 11th at 12:45pm. (You can find our other stream days on the calendar above!)
I'll make another post the day before (and, not coincidentally, the day I get back from NYC) with the link to the stream and a report on how the book launch went, EEK.

Omg Juniper, I am apparently delusional because I kept telling myself I had 4 days in New York, but actually based on when I got in Tuesday and when I fly out on Thursday, I only have two days, and they're totally full with book stuff. 🙃 I'm so sorry but I swear the next time I'm in New York, I will let you know!!! (And I'll plan to be here for longer bahaha.)

OMG so exciting you're coming to nyc! I'll be cafe hopping in Brooklyn if you happen to want a writing buddy one day this week! Also, two bookstore recs if you have the chance: 1) there's a bookstore in Park Slope called The Ripped Bodice (sister store of the one in LA) that's all women's fic and romance. 2) there's a shop called Sweet Pickle Books where you can trade in used books for housemade pickles!!!
