Looking back at it, there was a good few that were tied at the top. Plus seeing on the response that a few of them (like tawna, ridley and kazooie which were up with the top lot) got 40+ votes all at once a good hour after the initial peak can raise some suspicion.

According to others changing your IP in any way lets you submit another vote, and there were instances of characters gets a LOT of votes in a very small timeframe. Patreon polls can't be cheated this way so Melon's setting it up here instead.
