'Reimagined' Firehouse Playset - PART 10 - Roof
🕑 Added 2024-01-26 15:55:32 +0000 UTCIn the world of construction, we call this "topping out" - these files represent the last of the major floor/roof components. Here are a few important notes:
- Like with the other floors, having some super glue and binder clips handy will make your assembly of the floor modules much easier.
- This is also an opportunity to add in the iconic firehouse 'pole'. This element is the only part of this project this is not 3D printable. I visited my hardware store and spec'd a round brass rod with ~1/4" diameter. As it happened, the actual dimensions came to about 3.5 mm. I included two sized adapters for 3.5mm and 4mm.
After this - we'll be getting into some smaller components - look forward to an Ecto-2 helipad, garage door, railings, stairs, and more!

The brass rod looks niiiiice when it is installed... and yes I have a concept for how the figures can slide down :)

Hmm… this is the first Ive heard of missing parts as multiple people have completed this build…

I'm well into the printing of this, just laid all the parts of the roof out and just realized that the zip file seems to be missing roof parts A, B, L, O. Is there any way that these can be sent? Also, this has been an amazing build, thank you very much for taking the time to do this.

How long should we have the brass pole cut to ensure it fits properly?
Nate Miller
It’s a brass rod I found at the hardware store. A little smaller than 1/4” diameter
Chris Franks
where do u get the pole at?
Nate Miller
Yes - 2 columns (B) are longer than the others. This is because they should connected directly to the Level 2 columns below it near the front facade.

I'm also confused about the columns. We're these the same size as the 8 below ? I have the random 2 columns that are a different height.
