Greeting just joined. Great first movie reaction! One more fun fact, this movie is actually a parody of a serious drama called 'Zero Hour!' and some of the frame-by-frame comparisons are hilarious. Been watching ya'll on YouTube for a while now, glad to join the Patreon family.

Loved your reaction to a classic! I'm sure there were quite a few references that you (and likely some younger Americans and non-Americans) didn't pick up given the age of the movie. Two notes: 1) the last part of the doctor's motivational speech near the end of the film was a direct reference to an old American movie called "Knute Rockne: All American", about the University of Notre Dame (American) football coach whose name is in the title. Ronald Reagan, who would become President of the United States, was an actor who played the role of George Gipp, a Notre Dame football player who died of pneumonia. On his deathbed, he urged his coach and teammates to "win one for the Gipper." (In Airplane, the famous "Notre Dame Victory March" is played over the end of the doctor's speech as well as the end credits.) 2) I'm not sure if you saw the quick post-credits scene at the end...
