So glad you enjoyed cracker barrel...yummy southern comfort food.. and their breakfast is sooo good too!

You need to dip your okra in ranch. At least that's how I eat it. Same with fried green tomatoes and French fries. French fries and gravy is good. The pancakes at cracker barrel are different and good. Also jelly on the biscuits are good.

Cracker Barrel is originally from Tennessee and is all over the country. It is very much a southern USA feel. Denny's and Applebee's are not considered good at all by most people -- so anything you try after those places are only going to be much better.

So happy you folks enjoy everything at Cracker Barrel, there is one no more than two miles from my house. I always have a great meal there.

I went to Cracker Barrel’s when I lived in Florida. All of them were exactly the same as the one the Beesly’s were in. I now live to far away from the nearest one and I miss going there

After returning home and having some time to reflect, what did you enjoy most about American food (besides quantity!)? The seasoning? The gravies? The tenderness of the meats? Your enjoyment was clear, and as a Texan it mad me proud, and I just wondered if one aspect stood out.

What did you mom order?? Did she enjoy it as well?

If they have a good cook at the time, the food is so good there. Too bad you didn't try the Coca-Cola cake. It's a great chocolate cake.

I first tried okra on my grandparent's farm. Fresh picked and straight into the pan. Absolutely incredible!!

I prefer honey on both my biscuit and cornbread.
