Speaking of holidays involving blowing stuff up, Scotland in January has Up Helly Aa which I can’t recommend enough. Who doesn’t love watching drunk folks in fancy dress set things on fire?

That reminds me of the video of the kid in Asia that blows up a sewer with a fireworks or a match i don't remember 🤔

I grew up in Japan as a military kid and I could buy strings of firecrackers from the local mini-mart year round. At 10 years old, I used the unwind the main fuse and separate out the individual fire crackers then I would dig out a construction or mining scene in the dirt, place the firecrackers and then set them off like demolition charges. Or sometimes I would just light the whole string and run away.

Happy United States day to all you united statesians
