FYI there are many, many small towns in the USA that have memorials in their towns. My town actually has 3

Isn't it Peter Jacksons beatles documentary the reason why (or more accurately how) the beatles managed to release the song Now & Then last year as their final ever song. His film tech seperated John Lennons vocals and the piano so that they could fully remaster it all. Theres a short film (also i think made by peter jackson) about how they came to get the cassette and how they made it despite two of them being dead.

I love these episodes, light news stories punctuated with stories. This is such a great format for a podcast.

Totally with you guys on the dog thing. It’s really become crazy in Austin. Dogs everywhere and acting insane.

My solution to travelling with a dog? Don't. Budget boarding it, or pay a friend/family member to watch them for a couple days.

I think the box offices being down is a culmination of times being tight for a lot of people, and post pandemic many have learned they don’t like being around large groups. The quick to video makes it easier to avoid groups. During the recession in 2008 spending was down and entertainment is one of the first and easiest things to scale back personal spending.

I get more annoyed lately seeing dogs in restaurants when they are clearly not trained for the role

It’s so interesting them talking about the memorials in the UK. I suppose it’s shocking as they had villages and towns go as one troop, so if they were wiped out they’d be no men return to that village. So it’s far more harrowing.
