FYI, I assume you guys will already have seen this by then, but those two astronauts stuck in space, Butch and Suni, will be there till February! Starliner is coming home without them, because it's been deemed to risky to bring them back They'll come home on a SpaceX rocket that has yet to go up there

As tech improves so will prices but that's is still in progress

I think the 3rd reason aside from politics for EV adoption, is price. They have come down a lot but even with that it's still unaffordable for most people.

House battery backups also can greatly benefit users that DON'T have solar - you can use cheaper power overnight to replenish the battery, and then consume your backup during the day or afternoon/evening when the power company charges more. And of course they work as a (imo) far better alternative to gas powered generators in a brown or blackout, as you don't have to go out and crank it. Instead you get an uninterrupted power supply with instant fail over and it levels out any electrical spikes.
