Regarding the hamburger flavor -- their cows are probably grass fed, where they are mostly grain-fed here in the US. And, yeah, it definitely affects the flavor of the beef. Never had a burger in Scotland, but the best burger I've ever had was actually in Munich, Germany. Now I really need to go to Scotland. :D
