I will admit that I purposely avoid quantifying Amara's feeding. I mentally keep track of her levels to a certain extent, but I like keeping it vague in the actual text. Amara’s "full strength" has never really been explored, but we do know for a fact that her limits have grown quite a bit since she started transforming. When she first fed on Tessa she cut herself off because it felt like too much, yet by the end of Book Two she fed extra deep on three people at once. The ritual is the most sated we've ever seen Amara, and she is nowhere near those levels in this chapter. We also know that she needs to feed, on average, once every 2-3 days to maintain comfortable levels. I would say that, in this chapter, she's only gotten up to semi- comfortable levels.

I finally had a chance to catch up on SoS. Congrats on the upcoming book. I hope it does well. Great job on writing this difficult chapter. I appreciate the thought process and writing acrobatics it took to distinguish demon Amara from non-demon Amara at the beginning. Your meaning was clear and it worked! Great job. One detail to keep in mind moving forward is about Amara's energy acquisition. Aura from sexual energy is based upon (or should be based upon) a person's level of arousal--that is, the more aroused a person is, the more aura they produce. Likewise, there is (or should be) a rate at which Amara is able to absorb aura energy. For example, does she have the ability to suck out all of the aura as it is being produced? If so, where does that leave her partner's arousal? If she only absorbs a portion of that aura, then she gains aura energy at a slower rate. This might be important if Amara's energy is depleted or nearly depleted. It would take her more time, or she would need a larger source of aura energy to regain "full strength." (What is "full strength for her, anyway?). Your mention of wyverns reminds me of the writings of Sarah J. Maas and how she felt with a similar problem with her female protagonist in the Throne of Glass series. She obviously got quite a bit of aura energy from Vee and Nick, but either angel aura is particularly potent or Amara's absorption capabilities are incredibly efficient for her to make up for a week's worth of power in those two sessions. I haven't read Chapter 35 yet, perhaps you've explained it there?

What will definitely be interesting going forward is how Amara (Demon side) handle had a taste of what is likely the most prized trophy.....Angelic Soul. Will the Demon inside her crave it more?
