Sibilance is an interesting issue, and a difficult one to deal with in post without introducing other issues (like compression, artifacting, and muffling). I've done audio narrations in the past -- I've got a passing interest in reading creepy pasta stories -- and I struggle with both sibilance and popping my Ps. The best way to prevent this stuff is through vocal control and researching microphones that naturally tackle sibilance at the hardware level. Removing it in post is a headache if you don't have industry-quality software (I just use open source Audacity). Even basic white noise reduction can really reduce overall quality and clarity if you're not careful. Based on your updates to the post, I didn't get to hear the version that you tried to clean up, but I think the raw version currently here sounds just fine. Your level of sibilance has never been an issue for me. It's there, but it is rarely aggressive and I think it's one of the qualities that makes your narrations unique compared to other creators in the same genre (along with your enunciation, which is occasionally drawn out in a unique way that really suits your narration style). You don't seem to peak your levels or go into registers that cause audio distortion, nor do you aggressively pop your Ps. This has all been a long winded way of me saying that you seem to be a bit self conscious about aspects of your performances that are perfectly fine, and in some cases are what distinguish you from other creators. Your uniqueness of narration is part of the reason you were the first narrator I decided to support on Patreon. I hope this feedback is helpful. 🙂

I think this is my favourite audio yet. Keep up the great work Moon!

I didn't realize that was unintentional, or that it was a named thing. It's definitely an ASMR trigger for me.

Thank you so much for your feedback. It helps immensely. I think I’ll switch this audio back to its original and use your feedback going forward! You’re so observant. I appreciate that.

Personally, I've never been bothered by your sibilance. On the contrary, I like it. On some words, you seem to delay the pronunciation of the last syllable which - for some odd reason - adds a lot to the calming effect your audios have on me. And it is your sibilance that makes that stand out a little more. In terms of feedback on the technical side of this audio, for me it's tuned a little much. The sibilance has been reduced, yes, but I feel like your overall voice is less clear as well. Though I'm sure there is some middle ground to be found where the sibilance is reduced a little yet your voice is still as clear as before. I have never used a word this often immediately after learning about it.
