I think you can divide these questions into two types; either "is there an observer outside the universe?" or "is there 'stuff' in our universe which doesn't interact with any of the forces of nature we have observed?". I think the answer could be yes to either one, but if it is yes, 'they' are probably wondering the same thing themselves. It's a fundamental fact that in order to measure/observe something, you need to interact with it, even if only indirectly. 'something', a particle or a field usually, needs to pass the information from one body to another. We don't observe anything; living or not, respond to seemingly unknown forces/stimuli at random intervals, so there must be none. Either there's something out there living a parallel life, completely unaware of our existence, and theres nothing we can ever to to find out, or there's nothing out there. I guess I'm comfortable with that lol 🤔 I suppose there's no way to really know though, maybe my human brain is to puny to ever hope to comprehend 'their' higher reality. It is fun to think about though 🙃
