I see your perspective! But in the listener's defense, perhaps he wanted to give the speaker time to process her feelings before pressing her for a decision. It's not every day that mutual feelings between strangers abruptly come to light, and after a betrayal at that. I also think the speaker contributes her fair share to the miscommunication! 🤭 With that being said, it's a complicated situation, and there's no right way to interpret it. I understand your point as well, and I like reading your insight!

I don't see this relationship ending well. The power dynamic is all off, communication seems to be spotty, and the guy should really know how to act around other women. He should have asked her if she wanted to try going steady or never see him again from the beginning.
