Glad to see we'll be getting more updates from you, but, do feel free to post and share whatever you would like to. Any kind of news from you is always great to see, and I look forward to whatever comes next from you😁

You can't go wrong with variety. Personally, I'd love to see a backend deep dive.

Thank you for all your responses! Based on the poll and what you've said, I'll likely start adding general updates to the end of my other posts occasionally, just so you have a better idea of where I'm at and what I'm working on. I don't think I'll commission any art that isn't going into VT itself, I do agree that it's not a great use of money. As expected, I think posts about coding will be pretty boring to most people. I'll may still try posting about it rarely, though, since a few of you expressed a lot of interest in it. The fact that unit concepts are so popular actually works really well for me, since I have a good backlog of ideas to go through. I don't want to spoil too much though, so I'll probably only post them once in a while.

Almost all of these would be awesome to see, honestly. The only one I, myself, wouldn't really enjoy are the coding journals, but that's only cause I don't have much interest in learning how to code, yet. All the same, just having any update would be awesome, so, whatever is chosen, I look forward to the updates, and to the next installment of the game

I think regular general updates is pretty much a must since money is involved and people want to know it's going somewhere. For me personally, I always enjoy reading about others' creative processes, so I'd definitely read dev journals. Talking about unit concepts is also a great idea.

It does feel like there's a gray area between where the Dev Journal ends and the General Updates begin. Knowing the short term goals you're trying to hit is of interest to me, but it does feel like it could be a Dev Journal thing. Particularly interested in hearing about unit concepts and being able to give feedback on mechanics and theming. It does run the risk of us as players being very excited to make everything very complicated or overtuned though. Depends on how much you want to open those floodgates.

As I understand it, the commisioned art would just be art of the vessel tactics characters, and not with the intention to add into the game

Olsu

I think rather than spending the money on "just" fanart, maybe it can go towards art in the game? Like for a cutscenes or maybe even bond events of some kind? Maybe even skins for the girls?

Dev journals: I enjoy reading them, and if you enjoy writing them, then you should definitely do these. But since they take a long time, it's probably best to do them less regularly than the other options. Interest polls: I personally enjoy participating in polls. Getting feedback is valuable in game development, and polls don't take up a lot of time, so I see no reason not to do these. Unit Concepts: On one hand, I probably rather not be spoiled too much about upcoming content, but on the other hand, being able to give some feedback on early unit ideas, would be neat. Commisioned VT Art: This pretty much does not interest me and is the only item in the list I am not in favor of, but at the end of the day, I at least wouldn't be upset about your spending choices if this is something that happens. Backend Deep Dive: Hi, I am one of the 10 people who would enjoy this. I don't think this is gonna be one that'll be appreciated by many people though. General Updates: Getting a few tidbits of information about the current state of affairs can't be a bad thing in my eyes.

PAVAGA

Dev Journal: Yeah, i think that'd be good, like once a week or something so we can have a general idea of where things are Interest polls: Definitely, giving us a voice as to what we want so you know what direction to take. Of course it doesn't mean you HAVE to implement it, but at least you know our thoughts and can act on that knowledge. Unit concept: I guess it'd be fun to have an idea of what's coming to the game, but i feel getting teased a unit only for it to be cancelled would feel a bit unsatisfying. so maybe only the units you know are getting added Commissioned VT art: I mean ... if it's for VT ... it's sorta the reason whe're giving you money, right? so you make a better game. i'm not sure what you're worried about here. Backend Deep Dive: i study computer engineering and unity feels like hieroglyphs to me. an idea of how this thing works would be much appreciated. but like you said, it'd be me and 9 other people. General Updates: honestly if you're not gonna put any spoilers or whatever in those, you might as well fuse it with the Dev Journals.

I'd think that a bit of variety would be nice, bits about you, bits about the game and bits about everything else would be nice. Though I don't know if that would be todo bothersome or time consuming.
