On the controvery over Patreon new fees and changes
🕑 Added 2017-12-09 02:10:40 +0000 UTC Hello!I've noticed that there are people that have withdrawn their pledge from my Patreon since yesterday due the problem with the fees. I understand your discomfort perfectly, but I'm worried because, as everyone knows, my income is practically, exclusively my Patreon's earnings.
I'm sure that you're waiting for me to tell you something about this issue, but, sincerely, I don't know what to say since everything is happening so quickly. I just want to let you know that, personally, I'm waiting to see if something happens, since there have been many complaints against Patreon since yesterday, so there might be a chance that everything pulls back or there might be other changes, but you never know. If you have the chance, you can write your complaints or comments to Patreon.
I only ask to wait for a little, but if you don't want to keep using Patreon, I fully understand. I still want to thank you for the people that still are staying to support my art.

Purely financial. You know, the USD can cost a fortune in some places) Say, 1 USD pledge with new fees will cost me around 100 R. 5 USD - 620 R, and so on. Before that changes, my monthly TOTAL was around 900 R, and it was around 12 to 14 USD (depending on pledge-for-post creators). So yeah. The price kinda skyrocketed right here =) And I really can't afford more than 1k/month.

Is it because of a (for want of a better word) political stance, or is it financial?

It's really NOT small increase. It's actually 40% up if you donate, say, 1 USD. And many people, especially around the globe, can't afford more if they want to support more than 1 person.

I am currently withdrawing a lot of my pledges with a comment for patreon that it's due to their new rules. It's one of the hardest decisions in my life - choosing, who shall I continue to support.

I don't have a problem with the small fee increase. It's like inflation--prices go up a little each year. I'm staying.
