I am very lucky to have people in my group that actually want to run a game! For the longest time, I was the D&D guy. My friends have run Starfinder, Cairn, and Fallout. Recently, one of my group asked me if it was okay if he ran a D&D game. I said, "Well, DuH!! Of course, you can!! Give me the dice!! I'm rolling up a character!!" And because of that, one of my sons tried his hand at running Spelljammer, and it was stellar! (no pun intended, well maybe)

Thanks for the photo montage at the end! When I started in this hobby lo those many decades ago, us RPGers were treated like social pariahs - especially after the satanic panic kicked into gear. Looking at your snaps from Gencon, it reminded me just how big the community has grown, and how accepting it has become. It's great to be part of it.

Had a crammed schedule so couldn't stay to say hello after the Less Expo More Demo talk, but thanks for giving it; was at pains with a Cthulhu module I was running, and I applied the Less Expo More Demo idea and the players had a blast. Don't dawdle in the small town 10 miles away from the creepy mansion - start RIGHT at the gate of the creepy mansion!
