in the first book (original chapter 1) it starts off with a flashback to this moment, but the new/current version is introducing it as a nightmare flashback instead. i can get more fantastical with it since it's a dream >:)

im trying to think... is this the 3rd time we've enacted this scene? I can't recall much of the first iteration back on smackjeeves but i think it sorta eluded to this moment with a quick flashback. def was in the 2nd book. Glad I got my copy of that. Look foward to how you re-imagine it.
