I LOVE Pulp Fiction, but I'd agree with Lisa here, having seen nearly all of your reaction videos to parts of certain movies that are too violent or otherwise hard to watch, doubtful you'd enjoy it as a movie to react to...you should watch it on your own at some point though.

Agreed, at least on "Schindler's List". I saw it. I think everyone should. It is some powerful filmmaking about important history. But I have no desire to ever watch it again. It's a bit much, and should be given the topic. I'll still watch the reaction, though.🤨

"Coach Carter" with Samuel L. Jackson is also a decent entry into the Teacher Has Positive Influence on Underprivileged Inner City Kids genre. Perhaps not as solid as "Stand and Deliver", but not bad. Liked it better than "Freedom Writers", anyway.

Great suggestion and thank you I knew there was a great movie about teacher in a tough inner city school turning kids lives around and getting them off the streets. I knew it was Edward James Olmos but couldn’t think of the name of the picture.

I don't think I've seen Mr. Holland Opus, but the descriptions of what it is make it sound interesting. It also reminds me of another movie with Edward James Olmos in Stand and Deliver, which is based on a true story of a math teacher and his influence on would-be dropouts. Great movie to consider.

Definite NO NO NO on Pulp Fiction you will Not Like the graphics of a TARENTINO MOVIE THERE IS RAPE scene , Sodomizing , DRUGS AND a lot of VIOLENCE IN THIS ONE( MAJOR) YOU WILL NOT LIKE IT . Maybe you could look at how these movies rank and watch them in order of votes. Watch them all but maybe one a week pick the next one in order. Type them into a speadsheet then sort by number of votes. Or eliminate the bottom 3-5. I keep hoping "Charade" makes it to your list. A great whodunit by two of the classiest movie stars: Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn.

Me too. That brilliant, fast, and hilarious mind is sorely missed. Memory loss from different causes all suck! Big time! My Dad died from Alzheimer's in 2005. Seeing him disappear day by day was excruciating so I certainly don't judge Robin at all. There was an Inside of the Actors Studio with Robin Williams that makes me laugh so I cry and makes my sides hurt. Now that's something our 'hosts' should react to - comedians.

You know, that's why when I put that MHO isn't based on a true story, I added "I don't think" because part of me thought it might be. That explains why it feels so much like one. Love Robin Williams so much. He's one of the few celebs whose death actually made me cry.

Perhaps instead narrowing it down after the top 10, maybe just watch them. Given the list so far, they are all good movies. Most of them I think you'll enjoy. Some are gut wrenching, some are very entertaining and satisfying, others fun and uplifting. I don't know how well you are going to like Pulp Fiction. It will be a good indicator whether or not you like Tarantino. Like others said, Schindler's List is very emotional intense and draining. Make sure you have something happy going on afterwards or the next day, and watch something upbeat for your follow-up, like Karate Kid or Mrs. Doubtfire.

I completely agree with you about Shindler's list and Philadelphia. I'd add Pulp Fiction and Braveheart big time. I think they'd like Mr Holland's Opus (it is based on a true story BTW) Dead poets society and Good Will Hunting because they're educator related. Also - Good Will was written and stared Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as their first Hollywood movie. They won the academy award and they were kids! Crazy talented. And of course it's got Robin Williams in it (as does Dead Poets).

Oof. All of them? *Whine* Can't I just pick them all? This poll is impossible, you two. You're not playing fair. LOL Okay, all joking aside, there are a small handful of movies on here I don't really care for (still probably good films, but just aren't my thing), but most of these I love, and was super hard to pick only three. Also some of these movies are hard watches. If you thought Green Mile was hard, Schindler's List is much, much harder. You'll be glad you saw it, but you'll probably never want to see it again. If Schindler's List and Philadelphia both happen to win, don't watch them back to back. They're both emotional films, and you'll want a break between them. I'd suggest something like Pretty Woman and/or Karate Kid in between. I'd love, love, love to see a reaction to Mr. Holland's Opus from you two. Great movie. Not a true story (I don't think) but it feels like it could be. Honestly, every movie on here you should see at least once. Even the ones I didn't care for. Looking forward to seeing what wins.

Also a good point in hindsight, they were not as hard as List some were fiction and the others were stories that had true events as the premise or had dramatic license taken this movie isn't like that at all so, i agree with that statement as well here's to hoping everything will go smoothly in the reaction

I would say five of these films are very heavy to watch. They take a strong heart to view. I would not recommend watching them back to back. "Philadelphia", "Pulp Fiction", Schindler's List", "Bravehart" and "Troy". I am not putting them down as bad films, just intense subject matter. Outstanding films.

I recently saw a poll of the all time grossing franchise films: The top five were: Marvel Universe, Spiderman, Lord of the Rings, Batman and James Bond. Not sure who conducted this, but I have searched other franchise lists and Marvel tops every list. When you decide to watch try to watch in order of their release. "Hunger Games" is another of the fantasy series you might enjoy, The books were excellent as well.

The movie "Mr. Holland's Opus" is such a phenomenal picture and Richard Dreyfuss scores big time. Honestly, I know "Wizard of Oz" is a classic musical but I hope you find time to watch this story of man who has a dream of being a famous composer of serious music. His 'fallback' job is being hired as a HS Band teacher. He feels it is beneath him teaching kids who don't care like he does. It spans the music of three generations. Sometimes things happen for a reason in our lives and we have trouble seeing that.

I guess I would point out that the other movies you listed had a balance of emotions … lighthearted moments of camaraderie, comedic moments, some action, etc. You mention Saving Private Ryan and, honestly, it felt long for this format, yet it’s almost 30 minutes shorter than Schindler’s List. Anyway, it’s just my subjective thoughts; I appreciate your response.

Thanks for the new fun poll! With so many options you shouldn't have (too many) people complaining they don't like any of them. Taste in movies are so varied and diverse and sometimes I choose things not because it's my favorite film of the bunch, but because of the pop cultural references that you'll be able to take away from it.

True but they've seen plenty of gruesome and emotional movies already: saving private ryan, the green mile, hacksaw ridge, shawshank, etc. Those were all good practice Plus they said they've been to the holocaust museum so they know what to expect It'll be a wringer for sure but it'll be worth it in the end, seeing a true story l like this

Just to let you know Karate Kid and Lethal Weapon both part of franchises with films and with Karate Kid films and TV Series that continued the story from the original 3films from the film franchise 30 years later.

No disrespect intended whatsoever fam, but just a compatibility warning with Schindler’s List and the movie reaction format … it’s a tough, tough match. Schindler’s List is a lonnng movie and the only emotion to react to is sadness … there’s no range of emotion to experience with it. It’s a 3 hour and 15 minute bummer. Important film, but very difficult to do a reaction/watch along to.

Lots of great options here. You guys DEFINITELY need to get into the Tarantino-verse with Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill 1&2, Inglorious Basterds. Aside from that, Catch Me if You Can is SUCH a great Spielberg + Leo movie.
