Timothy Casto

For a good laugh, Robin Williams and Kurt Russell in The Best of Times. Filmed in Taft, CA, my home town.

Lisa Rhodes

The first Jumanji is good with Robin Williams.

Lisa Rhodes

I Don't think they would like Dogma. I love the movie myself, but it is a required kinda funny. Cult classic. Their Religious and other aspects in the movie I get but I think they might find offensive. I don't know if they are ready for Jay and Silent Bob humor.

Michael J Paulus

Dogma! Hmmm, would that be a good introduction to the View Askewniverse? I think it does alright on as a stand alone.

I would LOVE to see them watch the Bourne Identity series!!!!!

Kristin D

That's a great description.

Danny Elfman is a wonderful composer. My fav is Nightmare Before Christmas. He does the music AND Jack's voice. And also the beloved Catherine O'Hara plays Sally, and she also played the mom in Beetljuice. (I know you probably already know this.)

Harley Waite

Robin Williams cannot do wrong in my book. I can't pick a favorite movie of his because he's like 1000 actors in one body. We didnt deserve him. He was pure gold. (sending hugs into the universe) Matt Damon - omg. Every time I stumble on a movie he's in, I'm mind-blown. Dogma, loved him. Great Wall, loved him. Even his cameo in Thor:Ragnarok sent me swimming. hahah he's just a gem. The bees knees, for sure, <3

Michael J Paulus

One of the many different sides of Matt Damon, The Bourne Identity. Action and intrigue.

Michael J Paulus

Grosse Point Blank is what would happen if John Wick was a comedy.

Kristin D

Matt Damon has turned to be a versatile actor. My favorite is the Martian with him as the lead. It’s a wonderful story of human endurance and hope. You two will love it. An unsung hero of Robin Williams is Bicentennial Man. I think you will love this one too. It will get you right in the feels. Minnie Driver, who plays Skylar, is in the dark comedy, Grosse Pointe Blank.

MotoDork

I have trouble watching this because Damon’s character is just such an insufferable prick.

This was such a good reaction you guys, this movie is great…Ben and Matt wrote a great script, and all the actors delivered amazing performances. It won 2 of its 9 Oscar nominations. Best Supporting Actor for Robin Williams, and Best Screenplay for Matt and Ben. Yes Jordan, the friend with the red hair is Benny from Dazed and Confused. He also comes out in a show called Yellowstone, if you’re interested in watching a really good show in your downtime. The other friend is played by Ben’s brother Casey Affleck, who won an Oscar for his role in the movie “Manchester by the Sea” (which you should definitely watch). Amber, Danny Elfman is one of the very well known film score composers. He’s a constant collaborator of Tim Burton, you’ve heard his scores in Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice. You’ve also heard his music as the lead singer of Oingo Boingo.

Robert Greffey

Danny Elfman's film scores have been featured on the channel for "Beetlejuice" and "Edward Scissorhands". Chances are you may have encountered others. Like "Flubber", for which he also did the score. 😁 This is the movie that made both Matt Damon and Ben Affleck household names. Each has more work worth checking out. Matt Damon has been on the channel before as the titular Private Ryan that Tom Hanks had to save. "The Martian" is frequently recommended here by folks, and the "Ocean's Eleven" remake on the most recent poll has done well enough to make it to the final round. Affleck has some gems, and even managed to make a name as a director, helming a Best Picture winner with "Argo". I have a soft spot for his role in "The Accountant". There's some good Robin Williams movies in his catalog, but my favorite is one often overlooked. That would be "The Fisher King" (1991), also featuring Jeff Bridges and an Oscar-winning performance by Mercedes Ruehl. I think it's a nice showcase of his comedic sensibilities and his dramatic acting chops in a single role very well.

John DelVecchio

They wrote this together in College. All time great movie!

Stephanie Wahl

They should absolutely watch Dead Poets. Another great Robin Williams movie that doesn’t get enough attention is The Fisher King with Jeff Bridges who was the Dude in the Big Lebowski.

Patty Estrada

Such a great cast. So many movies to suggest, just from a single actor. Matt Damon: The Departed, Ford V Ferrari, The Martian, True Grit (2010). Robin Williams: Dead Poets Society, What Dreams May Come, The Bird Cage, Good Morning Vietnam, One Hour Photo, The Fisher King, Insomnia, Awakenings. Oh and Stellan Skarsgard, who plays the professor, comes out in “Dune” from 2021…which was one of the movies of this poll.

Kristin D

I think they would love A Beautiful Mind! Excellent suggestion!

Lisa Rhodes

Money is nothing compared to love and appreciation for each other. The most beautiful person is the one who lived in darkness but shines in the inner light.

Karl Kraus

For another movie with a genius with mental issues, watch A Beautiful Mind with Russell Crowe; based on a true story, with tons of creative license taken though

Karl Kraus

This movie along with Titanic probably produced the most tears in 1997 Titanic made ladies cry but this one made men cry I'd say

Luisa

This is one of my favourite's movies of all time . Another really good movie of Robin Williams is dead poets society (1989) that's another masterpiece .

Karl Kraus

Ben Affleck played Daredevil in 2005 or somewhere around that time It was a FLOP of a movie It tried to duplicate the Spider-Man movies - and it was an EPIC FAIL He and Matt Damon are close friends that grew up together and this screenplay that they wrote happened to win that Oscar of theirs Robin Williams won his (regrettably) only Oscar for his performance here and I think the scene that clinched it was the monologue in the park

Karen Silvera

Yay!!

Michael Lynch

Get some tissues. It’s an incredible movie.

Maya Bairey «SupermodelSquad»

I've never actually watched this, so I guess I'm finally going to!
