A comedy where a musician witnesses a crime, and has to go incognito to protect their own life... reminds me of the exact same setup used in Some Like It Hot, starring Marylin Monroe, Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis. Overall a very different movie, but the premise always reminds me of that classic. More actual music in this one, though. But since I brought it up, you really should put Some Like It Hot on your short list.

Hope you get to check out Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit - which I actually liked better than the original. A great sequel which introduces the world to a young Lauryn Hill.

i agree this movie is a blend of many genres but above all, it's a comedy NOT a musical this should've been saved for a comedy poll or something The musical that shouid've been included on the poll is the Sound of Music If you watch that, you'll want to watch musicals until you faint It's a heartwarming story that shows how the feeling of embracing music can overcome the feeling of dread and foreboding Amber will definitely love it and I think you'd like it too Jordan My grandparents showed it to me when I was a kid and I enjoyed it a lot so take it from me... WATCH IT

Whoopi did some great comedies before she became a more serious actor. Burglar and jumping jack flash come to mind. Also, this is not a musical even though they are singing in it.

Yes! I agree with others that this is not a musical, even if it is an awesome movie. I definitely want you to do Singing In The Rain, but last night I was watching a clip out of Chicago and thinking how much you would really enjoy that movie! Be sure that that's on your list!

Still a little upset that this won the musical poll because it’s not a musical. It’s a fun good movie to watch, but I feel like you’ve cheated yourself from watching an actual musical…guess there’s always next time.
