This was solved by upgrading Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (MSVCP140.dll).

Thanks, since aktualisation, the new versuin 1.1.2 runs proper: "The Visual C++ runtime (MSVCP140.dll), might be to old. According to the log, you have MSVCP140.dll, version: 14.29.30133.0. Latest is 14.40.33810.0. Can you try installing the latest from https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170 (Direct link to the setup is https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe). Since the MinGW version works, it might be the issue, since the MinGW version does not use Visual C++ runtime."

I've created issue #1552 (https://github.com/strawberrymusicplayer/strawberry/issues/1552) for this. I'd be happy to try an older version, but I don't see any older windows builds available on GitLab or here.

Can you check the Windows Application log (Control Panel / All Control Panel Items / Administrative Tools / Event Viewer / Windows Logs / Application) for entries related to strawberry. If possible, create a issue for it here: https://github.com/strawberrymusicplayer/strawberry/issues

Since today the windows-version (win 11) disappears 2 sec. after start (msvc).

I can't reproduce the crash here, but I only have Windows 10. haven't heard anyone else having this crash either. Do you know if it crashed in older release than 1.1.0? Can you check the Windows Application log (Control Panel / All Control Panel Items / Administrative Tools / Event Viewer / Windows Logs / Application) for entries after the crash and copy/paste the information in a new issue: https://github.com/strawberrymusicplayer/strawberry/issues

Hey, Jonas, thank you for the new release. I noticed that the MSVC build of Strawberry seems to crash whenever I try to open the Settings menu (this is in Windows 11 Pro, OS build 22631.4169). The MinGW windows build, however, does not crash. (This was also happening in 1.1.1) I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but I know Windows builds are ... special ... so I thought I'd pass it along, just in case.
