As of version 1.2.5, it will notify on startup of new releases, there's a button "More info" that you can click to get to this Patreon page.

That's right, there is no device support in the Windows version.

Great work Jonas! I have just one question at the moment: Is there no support for sync to external devices such as a phone on the Windows version? I just DL'd and installed the Windows version and there seems to be no option for it, unlike the Linux version which has a 'devices' icon in the left-hand panel and recognizes my phone when I plug it in. I installed the msvc build installer.

I did have MS Visual C++ on my computer, but they were old versions. I installed the latest MS Visual C++ and now Strawberry works. Thank you. Can you put that in your documentation somewhere? I looked at the Strawberry website, wiki, and forum and didn't see anything about installing the latest version of MSVC.

Make sure you have the latest MS Visual C++ (2022) runtime (version 14.42.34433.0), if not you need to download and install the latest (2022) from https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170#latest-microsoft-visual-c-redistributable-version

This also happens if I try to install an older version of Strawberry. Maybe there is some old data hanging around on my Windows machine that isn't deleted during the un-install and that old data is causing a problem.

I tried to install StrawberrySetup-1.2.3-msvc-x64.exe It seemed to install correctly, but when I run the program, it runs very briefly and then closes. I can see the Strawberry icon appear in the Windows tray, then it disappears after about 8 seconds. I tried un-installing Strawberry on Windows and re-installing and this still happens.

yeah I'm on macbook, that would be a great feature to have if you could implement that.

Updating within the app itself is a bit tricky, particularly on Windows, but on Windows there is an updater which informs and links to the new version. on macOS there isn't anything, but I was planning to add something, but haven't had the time.

Make sure you have the "Show dialog for errors" checked in the scrobbler settings to catch any errors.

I can not reproduce any issues, I have been playing music the whole day and it's all scrobbled to both last.fm and listenbrainz, but I'm on Linux. Are you on macOS or Windows? I know last.fm servers sometimes have stability issues, but you should then see a error message popup unless it's been disabled.

I had some weird results this morning. I'm mainly using tidal api, with a little bit of spotify and radio mixed in. radio works great, no issues anywhere. Spotify and tidal have issues though, its inconsistent at best..almost as if the first song or two does scrobble and then the rest don't. Last.fm is getting even less consistent results. As for the dev version, I'm okay, I am in no rush and am happy to wait for the next release. You seem to be pretty busy as well. thank you for the offer, and thank you for the amazing app, I am absolutely loving using strawberry. regards

ListenBrainz server is working again for me now, and it's scrobbling local files fine, but I see that Spotify songs aren't scrobbled, because Spotify was never added as a source (under Settings / Scrobbler / Sources), I've fixed this now, I can send you a development version you can try, do you use macOS x86, macOS arm64 or windows?

lol, me too. I’m getting weird sporadic results. If I set to work in offline mode will it sync or must I set back to online only? I’ll try again and hopefully by tomorrow it’s sorted itself out. Thanks so much for the effort! Loving the strawberry

Hello (: Thanks for the updates, spotify connection is working great now! sorry I never got back to you sooner, work has been nuts. I am busy playing with the scrobbler, thats the main attraction for me. I have it all setup and authenticated, I can see it on listenbrainz, it shows that I'm listening to the song but it doesn't always scrobble the song. I have checked the scrobble cache files and tried most settings, I have turned off offline and set the sync time to 0. Scrobbling is enabled, any ideas? thanks !
