Thanks for your message! I'm really glad you like REND. I think the villain/revenge stories are usually for readers self-insert and then catharsis - that might be their selling point. Even for villain stories, there's usually a "justification" for what they're doing, usually revenge for getting betrayed/bullied and all that. So that's why they're very popular. REND isn't a story like that though but focused more on an actual psychological story. And I'm happy that you and others like it.

I just finished binge reading from the very beginning and I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this. Generally I don't like villain/revenge stories because the characters feel so bland. I THOUGHT that was because the MCs lacked empathy (since if they don't care about the people they're killing why should I?), but you've shown that that can work. Erind is a great character because she cares about different things from you or me. The lack of empathy is one difference but it's also fun to see what she cares about instead.

"In your author's reflective you did at the end of the last ark, you talked about how it can be hard to follow a novel that puts out weekly releases like this" - And hard to write too. Compared to my litrpg, I can crank out a lot of content in a relaxed way, but not with REND. It really 'sad', not sure if that's the right term to use, that I'm writing in the webnovel format because REND can't be fully enjoyed that way. But then again, I don't have much of a choice how and where to publish. - This is really meant to be like those cheesy horror movies (a deserted road, stereotypical characters, a monster hunting them), but I also want to inject psychological aspects. I think the picture will be more complete with another side character POV, Deen's POV and Erind. I do hope this experiment succeeds in what I want it to be.
