So I decided to word it this way to be more narrow. What do you think? -> Good point about this potentially being used this way. You could probably still apply this to what Karp was saying. So if person A works for an organization that bothers Erind, and person B also works for that organization, can Erind bother person B? Maybe she can also conceptualize organizations as people? So maybe change it to Rule #4: I could only bother a person or organization if they bothered me.

Temple (REND)

The original Rule #4 was directed at the world. I changed it because I'm thinking that technically it could be expanded to others who didn't bother Erind. Like if someone hits her, she could hit a completely random person. That's stretching the Rule, but technically it can be since it's abstract of the world. So I decided to word it this way to be more narrow. What do you think?

Karp Paul

I've been thinking about the Rule #4. I liked the original version better because it is abstract, meaning, Erind can apply it to organization or even objects. It is more open to interpretation, and it was interesting to read Erind's thoughts about whether the rule can apply or not in specific cases.

Temple (REND)

- Good point that chewing loudly can be bothering her. Actually, that probably was what I was thinking way back when I wrote it. That line is from the original chapter 1. - Since Erind has mentioned some trivia about fairy tales before, like the name of little red riding hood, we can have her really have her ramble about people not knowing them. A new trait. Great idea! - I almost forgot about that inside out eating thing she does lol. Feels a bit too restrictive.

Karp Paul

My point is, it is kinda a bit strange that Erind developed a hatred for parking given that she is not a seasoned driver. At the same time, it might be an interesting character aspect: Erind decides whether she loves or hates something very fast, after experiencing it once. This can be an explanation behind some of the strange future rules: Erind tried something, it did not work out, now she hates it.

Temple (REND)

Yeah, I'll add that Erind had driving lessons before. I think it was in ExD that Erind mentioned it, and I confused things lol.

Temple (REND)

I'll add that Erind has driven before.

Temple (REND)

Glad you liked the first chapter! I'll be writing the next one and releasing it right after.

Karp Paul

"Erind never chews loudly, I think." - I mean, she has some peculiar eating habits/rules. Also, when she eats in the Blanchette form...

Temple (REND)

True, sticking with the date is more meaningful. I was just itching to release to RR lol. I remembered when I first released that I only had 1 chapter backlog and immediately released because I wanted feedback. But I'm getting feedback here on Patreon, so that's not a problem anymore.

Karp Paul

- I want the fairy tale stories to have more impact on Erind's childhood, that's why they show up as faces later on. - That's a really cool idea! Also, you can later add Erind's ramblings about people not knowing classic fairy tales.

Karp Paul

Well, chewing loudly can be technically considered bothering, right?... I am just thinking that it shows how much Erind values her own immediate comfort - more than the lives of other people.

Temple (REND)

- For the businessman, he was just claiming to be respected to sound important. I'll add Erind thinking about that. - Erind never chews loudly, I think. Would that rule be directed at others? As in, she'll have to punish someone violating it? We don't have a rule yet to that effect. Would be interesting to have that. - I want the fairy tale stories to have more impact on Erind's childhood, that's why they show up as faces later on. - That's a cool idea for 2Ms business. - Hehe, I'll add that moody line too. - She's too far away from the blood splatter. But there'll be more violence in the next chapter, so we can show more of Erind's psychopathic nature there. Thank you very much for the suggestions!

Temple (REND)

I think Erind mentioned Rule #4 first in the old chapter 1, just that she was also stirring tea at that time. I did change Rule #4 a bit, so it'll be targeted to the person and she can't indiscriminately bother anyone as revenge. The 2Ms are attacking earlier, yes. And poor Kelsey, we didn't get to know what happened to here lol. Thanks for the help proofreading!

Temple (REND)

True, I'll continue to prepare for May 20. I'm just getting antsy waiting for it.

Krzychu0304

I think that despite everything it is better to wait until May 20, with 20 thousand words, it is simply safer + after all, it is the anniversary.

Krzychu0304

Maybe she took a driving course or something? Her feelings suggest she had some experience driving.

Typos: Third, I was short, maybe five feet tall during the Earth’s aphelion, when it was most distant from the sign. -> Third, I was short, maybe five feet tall during the Earth’s aphelion, when it was most distant from the sun. ----- Rule #4: I could only bother someone if they bothered me. -> Hey look Rule #4 instead of Rule #1 first this time. I also think this was slightly different right? The original Rule #4 was like something about 'not bothering the world if the world didn't bother me' or something like that. Also, nice touch about Erind not liking driving / parking. Very relatable. This is the same day as the original first chapter, but we started about an hour earlier. I decided to remove Kelsey because we didn't really do anything with her storyline. I want new readers to see what Erind is like in the first three chapters, with Adumbrae and Corebrings having an appearance already. -> Interesting to see how it all changed. Yeah, I think this could work better since Kelsey was only really used to get Myra to attack Erind. And then she vanishes for most of the story. But now, it seems like the 2M's are starting their attacks earlier? Thanks for the chapter!

Karp Paul

Oh, this one too, actually. Why does Erind hate parking? She does not drive. Maybe, change it to hating parking lots?...

Karp Paul

I don't know what kind of feedback you are looking for, but here are some of my notes and suggestions which I made while reading: "I’m a respected businessman." - why is a respected businessman riding public transport, especially in rush hour? There might be some logical explanation, but I think Erind should take a not here, asking herself this question. Then, return to this though when she thinks about "suspicious people", smth like "the most suspicious is of course that all important businessman ..." "Call it good manners, like not chewing loudly in a restaurant because that was super annoying and disgusting." - you can make is also a rule "Do not chew loudly in a public place". You can later point to it in some cases, for example, in the gas station situation, "These guys have to die a gruesome death. Not because they bothered me and Deen, that would result in some beating. They chewed loudly on their burgers and fries and overall were disgusting at a table. And that's coming from me!" "keychain of the granny wolf from the Little Red Riding Hood story" - very nice touch, I think the keychain can serve some purpose later. "Check those to your left and right for any inhuman growths on their bodies." - I was thinking about those growths, like, there is no explanation, what those are exactly. My suggestion is to make it part of the 2Ms business - removing growths surgically from humans before Adumbrae actually manifests, as this can be a long process. "I used to be one of them when I worked at a law firm as a paralegal." - Isn't Erind a bit too young to have an actual working experience as a paralegal? Maybe replace with an internship? "I noticed a guy wearing a hoodie." - "and he looked a bit nervous and moody" - I think this might be a good "oh, it rhymes!" moment. "The tentacle stabbed Wool Asshole’s head, punched straight through, scattering brains and blood behind him." - You can add smth like "A drop of it landed in my mouth." with a short reflection like "it was a bit too salty, but edible" to emphasize the psychopathic nature of Erind.

Metal(Liz)ard

Very funny to think about how much erin hated parking and she originally died in a parking lot. Like the new start!

Karp Paul

Didn't you want to start posting the rewrite on the 20th of May because that would be exactly 5 years of REND? I think, that is meaningful, but that's for you to decide, of course.

Karp Paul

Yay!
