CASTLEVANIA: SYMPHONY OF A BROKEN MAN
🕑 Added 2024-10-27 15:20:13 +0000 UTCHalloween is nearly upon us. Instead of doing a game with one monster, I've done a game with every monster ever. I only dropped one hint per video since around August, peppering them with references and even a clip from this playthrough. Apologies to everyone asking for Killing Time, as it only just came out. I was hoping The Thing Remastered would hit a little earlier too. Oh, well. I'd rather take a chance on something different.
I was so happy to play something different, something I absolutely love, that I had to write the video in a way that made me sound like it was the worst thing to ever happen to me. This is reality now. H4MM3R was always in a terrible Art the Clown costume. Psychological torment was always on the table. 55 minutes?! That's nothing! I probably sliced off about 5 minutes of this video for the sake of not going into further digressions about Konami, the incomprehensible Castlevania timeline, or the fact that Maria isn't Annette's sister.
But enough talk...

I never played the games but I'm astonished at how many items and broken builds are in the game. It feels like the type of mechanics from modern games if people put in the effort to get them. How in hell did they expect anyone to get to the inverted castle yet beat it without the internet back then.

Great video, not gonna lie. On another note, Civvie, since you played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and a few imsims, I'm suggesting Project Silverfish (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2941710/Project_Silverfish/) which is inspired by games like that. Has a demo which could be decent roundup material. The dev also made another game called ADACA, which is a decent Half-Like you could also eventually cover.
