I'll be honest I like the world building, though I do agree he is making super questionable decisions about his wife and kid. The whole novel is told in a sort of matter of fact manner because the Narrator has seen it all, he is not about to lose his head about a tier 10 "god" even though he is tier 4 or some of the other stuff because it just another Tuesday for him. And considering Auth has managed to turn out a chapter every day for years at this point while other authors with "better" stories just vanish or keep cutting back chapters and taking repeated month breaks I'm ok if he takes some of his time explaining things. This story is my chill place and I like it, you can always make the argument it could have been told in less words for example "Jason did died but only sorta and was sent back to earth with Farah where he killed alot of people, saved the planet, alienated his whole family, made some friends and claimed some land, then came back to help his friends not die and fight off an invasion or to" is the whole lot of the back to earth arcs in HWFWM.

This is such a frustrating novel to read. Might as well give my two cents before my subscription expires. The author gets... Bogged down isn't a strong enough term. Half frozen and suffering from joint lock in details that other, more competent writers would allude to and then promptly move on from. The rituals and their purposes could have literally been consolidated in a single sentence; the author could have consolidated why Serenity couldn't pass for human in a single sentence; the entire section on Imperial Cavalry and Blaze's knowledge of their associated slang will, based on all previous such things, be resolved in another extended world building session at best or an author's note at worst; who is going to heal Zany could have been a single sentence (and frankly I'm more interested in how they'd go about healing an undead than I am about who does the healing). And all that is just this one chapter. A chapter that, properly edited, could have been a third the length. Multiply that by literally 700 chapters and this whole novel should, based on the number of things that actually happen and excluding the frankly obscene amounts of world building tangents explaining in detail how every single miniscule aspect of your world functions, be 200 chapters long. Do you realize that this novel is less than a hundred chapters behind He Who Fights With Monsters? That its almost three quarters of the chapter count of Azarinth Healer? And for what? A world that our Main Character guides us through like a dry, bored-out-of-his-mind narrator at a theme park? A tour that, at many points, completely ignores basic reason when it comes to character decisions and plot points, yet finds ample time to over-explain the magic system? Serenity takes his pregnant wife into enemy territory, for gods sake. Not only that, he forgets to send his infant daughter home, opting to instead leave her in the care of people he barely knows after leaving her practically unguarded in the enemy's company. World building is the ruleset that author and the reader agree upon. It's the boundaries within which the story happens. It's the limitations that challenge the characters and create tension. It can even be a character in itself, dictating the tone of the rest of the story. What it should never, ever be, is the point. It should never be the sole reason you've put fingers to the keyboard. An author can write a story because they want to explore a world, but they should never publish their notes wholesale and call it a story. I hope one day the author goes back and trims the fat off this 1 tonne world building exercise masquerading as a story, because much as I criticize it, enough that the only reason I've made it this far is abject boredom, I genuinely believe that, in another universe, this premise and these characters have the potential to come together and form a good story.
