apart dis-1. a Latin prefix meaning “apart,” “asunder,” “away,” “utterly,” or having a privative, negative, or reversing force. I guess this could be appropriate for a Death incarnate, but somehow I suspect there’s a bit more to it than that.

I'd imagine alot of incarnates get mistaken for gods of their respective affinities, last chapter she mentioned the Lord of time named Chronos, Dis is probably the name of the Death Incarnet/God of that time or a translation error since Dis would be a proper noun
