What did you guys do for NYE?
🕑 Added 2022-01-09 14:58:28 +0000 UTCWe were just with some friends for a dinner at their house because none of us could be bothered with going to a restaurant or some loud place. I think the older I get the less I want to do anything “big” for NY, not that I ever honestly did. I’ve been to a New Years event maybe twice in my life. Most other times I’ve either been at home falling asleep at 10 or with friends at someone’s house. I get super anxious being in bars nowadays anyway, or anywhere super loud.
If I AM anywhere loud, I always have my music earplugs in my bag 🤣 Growing up in Canada, in my late teens and early 20s, everyone wore frequency blocking earplugs at the clubs/raves/festivals etc… 😍 So to me it’s normal. I guess it’s a North American thing? I haven’t noticed people doing this in Europe at all! But what a fantastic feeling to exit the club and take out the earplugs and hear normally, instead of tossing and turning with a loud ringing in your ears in a silent bedroom 😂🥴 relatable? It pays off to take care of your hearing. I don’t know how we got to this topic. ^ 🤣
Anyway, hope you all had a safe NYE and are so far having a good start to 2022. Cheers to a fucking better year 😂🤧

Absinthe is actually Anise flavored so black licorice and it’s on the bitter side.

Why have I never had absinthe.. what’s the flavour like!? I’m imagining something similar to jäger, like medicinal/herbally. I’ve had NY where I’ve had to work too and it kinda feels nice making money instead of spending it, especially on New Years

I just hung out with family, ate good food , and watched football and hockey 😂
I am boring I had to work New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day so it was a normal day for me. I did allow myself to celebrate a little with a shot of Absinthe before bed but that’s it.
Completed my show 'suits', had a cold pizza with my mother and ended the day watching some of the epic stuff like Cilantro: an open letter.
