I think this is the pinnacle of British awkward humour, Basil is always one step away from a cardiac arrest, the drink the French woman asked for 'Ricard' is Pastis de Marseille, the most popular aperitif in France, I love the stuff, is it popular in Canada seeing as you have a strong French connection?

Connie was the one accused of being a witch in Holy Grail. And she was in a handful of Python sketches as well. She and Cleese were still married during season 1 of Fawlty Towers, then got divorced, and then did season 2. They remained on good terms.
