I think the group overlooked a huge piece in the best friend advice. They are best friends so singing love songs into each other's eyes isn't that weird if you ask me. He has already told her that he doesn't like her so for her to take their interactions and want something else isn't on him. I do believe she does need to find more friends though to distance herself if she isn't getting over him though.
