People losing their job pales in comparison to the misery and suffering Ukraine is going through. Alyssa, I’m with you. I played basketball elementary through middle school (I’m 5’2). While I was one of the shortest, I was “Queen of stealing”. I was good at it to the point that one coach made me play every single game and would bench others constantly (he got in trouble for not giving fair playing time to others lol). So when I tell you my confidence was so high… it’s borderline insane. I challenged my bf-who has very little experience, and I was absolutely destroyed. I’m 30 and only JUST realized I have zero ability to play basketball anymore. Lol I was delusional to think I could beat anyone.
