Hi friends! I learned about why women shave in my marketing class years ago. It wasn’t because men “like it more,” it was so companies could sell more razors. They realized that they could tap into a whole new market if they sold to women and not just men. Some of their early ads to American women made it seem like shaving was “all the rage” in Europe, that men prefer it, or that body hair made them smelly. So basically they created a new insecurity for women so they could make more money!
