Ben, if you're serious about the rock box, I have a big rock near my house and a polaroid spirit 600 ready to check North Carolina off the list for you. Also, as far as anime goes for everyone, FLCL or Fooly Cooly is a great 6 episode miniseries with an INCREDIBLE soundtrack. It's extremely goofy, dense, and fun, with a great English dub to boot. I wanna say it's free to watch on the Adult Swim app right now.

Yes to spooky Muppets.

Some great games named here! If you need more picross puzzles, I highly recommend the Picross S games. Developed by Jupiter, on the Switch, perfect controls and music. Multiple modes and so calming at the end of the day.

The Bechdel Cast has done two episodes on the Santa Clauses with Grace Thomas; and it would be criminal for anyone not to listen.

I hope Ben plays all of Paradise Killer and reports back. Incredibly weird, incredibly good game. I recommend Joe Skrebels review of it if your curiosity is piqued.

I just listened to the episode on The Ice Storm, and I gotta admit, was a little disappointed that in the discussion of Christina Ricci/Thora Birch/Aubrey Plaza they never made it to "Gothy round face"

Gonna need the PO Box address to the Rock Box immediately.

“Bossy green face” made me lose it.

I also came here to say that the Kings now play at Golden 1, you beat me to it. The Kings, a team that’s been worse than the Knicks over the last 15 years...

Dan Harmon had an entertaining rant about the Tim Allen Santa Claus movies as well and I was surprised with how aligned his takes were with yours (other than liking the principal love interest): https://youtu.be/7L0HfBOhZXU

I'm not a huge anime guy, but if people are strapped for in-quar series to watch and you've never watched Cowboy Bebop your animated series toast remains unbuttered to satisfaction.

I miss the name Sleep Train Arena. They had a train horn go off after a 3 pointer. Now it’s golden 1 center (local bank)

Thank you for the layered guitars and funky drum groove on the new version of the theme song!
Philip Ehlke
Love the updated intro music! Also, I’m so ready for the vat Bennaissance

I think the Fargo score might have been ineligible because it’s mostly based on existing Norwegian folk music, and a lot of the other Coen/Burwell scores are easy to overlook - it feels like they work with him specifically because he doesn’t control the tone of a scene as overtly as most major composers

I too watched Avatar finale on election night! Pretty crazy

Christmas in July with "The Santa Clause" trilogy

New theme song is KILLER!

I must have missed David's spreadsheet love but... that's me. Especially spreadsheet for movies for each year, putting new movies in after I've watched them. Me. Scary. Nice.

also if Blank Check ever did a Satoshi Kon miniseries I could die happy

I absolutely agree with Griffin on Mary Tyler Moore! I watched the series over the majority of last year and it was such a wonderful experience

I’ve long said The Santa Clause 2 is far superior to the first one so I feel so validated. Elizabeth Mitchel is terrific.

I am SO HERE for Great Movie Ride talk.

Griff would be so good on Bob’s Burgers

How many Patreon subscribers do we need to get a table read of Ben's Assassin's Creed spec script?

I loved The Great Movie ride. The Alien section scared the shit out me for many years and after going on it as a kid, I avoided it until I was way too old (well into my teens). I wonder if Disney got complaints because when I was brave enough to go on it again the first Alien in the section just kind of hung out in the ceiling, but as a kid I vividly remember it popping down more. Same with the second Alien that was in the wall. As a kid I remember it lunging toward the vehicle, but later it just kind of hung out in the wall shrouded in steam. Between TGM and Alien Encounter it seems Michael Eisner just loved the Alien franchise and wanted to scare the hell out kids like me. And I was way too chicken to ever go on Alien Encounter.

Fun fact: Sean McNamara, director of Casper: A Spirited Beginning, is the director of the upcoming Reagan biopic starring Dennis Quaid....
