Topics include: director Bill Condon's unique campy style, the deeply twisted political undertones, the problem with being "people with faces as humans that move around" in this franchise, Bones Day, and more!

Just now getting to the episode and I have to say if David decides to ever do an Animorphs podcast, I will be there day 1. The book series that got me into reading and one I go back to frequently. Love those books.

I didn’t realize until starting this movie that the versions I’d been watching on the Freeform app (for free, with commercials) are the extended cut! I would occasionally get confused about the commentary not syncing properly & thought I had messed up pausing during the commercial breaks. But then this movie opened with a completely different scene with Michael Sheen that the guys didn’t talk about at all!

I'm disappointed they missed calling out the line where Bella asks Jacob "Where have you been? We were about to put your face on a milk carton." and this movie came out the same year as Abduction!
Caleb McCandless
Does that happen in this or Part 2?

Just realized the guys completely missed the part on the beach where all the imprinted couples were hanging out that featured the couple made up of the teenage werewolf playing with the TODDLER he imprinted on

I know!! It's driving me nuts!! I read the books so I know most of the "explanations" and I cannot remember how they translate to the movies, but most of the time, the answer is right there! I love the commentary but it worries me that they are not paying attention.

I think we're gonna need a mini series on the works of Jackson Rathbone

Everything they’re confused about has an explanation they’re talking over. Argh! I wish I was there to answer questions.

I have been a twilight “fan” since the first movie. I did not realise that Bella when she fell was a puppet https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMd9B7Sbp/ 😟

Honestly this has been one of my favourite franchise series to date. Super happy with this MM outcome

I’d like to thank this round of commentaries and the Twilight series for getting me to Google, “vampire sperm Twilight”.

Kinda related to the delivery scene lol. Just got some some scoping done to check out my IBS and I too looked like a skellington on an operating table. Anyways, off to watch Prometheus…
William Evans
This movie rules so hard. I watched the back breaking scene 10 times.

I kinda wish there was more wedding talk. Charlie’s speech and the 1,000 years song were so iconic at the time

"It would be funny if they played the Monster Mash." Truly, the poet laureate.
Scott Barton
Please please please do the Animorphs podcast

Also Cuckoo is easily the best work Taylor Lautner has done. Him and Greg Davies have such good chemistry

Honestly this one has always been my guilty pleasure favorite of the series even though it has godawful politics. I like that it basically devolves into a melodramatic chamber piece halfway through

I'm gonna go watch some early Cronenberg to cleanse my palate after this.
Will McLaren
Content aside, this movie has some nuts editing

i have powered through this month with the knowledge that Ben’s reaction to the birthing scene waited for me at the end. I cannot wait.
