The submarine privatization tangent did not age well.

This episode is like a million years old now, so it's kind of goofy of me to comment. But I think the answer Griffin's question about when Doohan becomes the breakout of the TOS non-trio crew actually has a lot to do with that he has the single best appearance on TNG of any of those guys. His episode, Relics, is fantastic, much better than what they gave Nimoy in Unification. So as a TNG kid, Scotty seemed to loom so large.

I would!

At the start of this episode, Griffin, David, and Ben discuss how they do not have a specific vibe for 1980s San Francisco. My instant reaction was, "uh, gay rights movement and AIDS epidemic?" To be fair, I doubt that anyone would have liked a Star Trek movie that wrestled with those subjects.

I'm calling it that forever now.

I can't believe they didn't talk about Hicks's pizza order. A large pepperoni, mushroom, and extra onions I believe. And that was just for her!!

Maybe not the place for it, but I just want to post my general thanks to Griffin and David and Ben and Marie (and Ang!) for being awesome people and for making the last year of quarantine bearable—and even fun at times!—with their goofy little show. Twitter is Bad Vibes Central, but I hope they know they've got a core group of people who feel lots of genuine love for them and what they do. Blank Check has been such a freaking beacon of positivity for me during quarantine, and in some sense I don't know how I would have gotten through it without them. So cheers to you guys!

There's a good Actionboyz episode on Last Starfighter

I love that they reuse the exact same CG shot of Genesis being created from 2 in both 3 and 4

...I, too, have had my catalytic converter cut away and stolen from my car, and my kidney regrown by a magic pill from a future doctor which no one notices due to ordering fancy pizza...

I was also a victim of the whale “adoption” business! Also got a wolf....

Ben should check out the animated series. In that show the crew included Arex, a three-armed fellow, and M’Ress, who is also a cat alien.

David and Griffins reaction to Bens “critique” of Leonardo DiCaprio is absolutely hilarious.

When the guys eventually do the Kelvin timeline they better do a bit where they pretend they're the only Star Trek films. The Kelvin Podcast.

Honestly if Ben specifically doesn't like this movie I'll be very disappointed.

Finally, the best Star Trek movie.
