I think perfect take on this guys lol There’s so much I love in this movie but too much that’s confusing and boring at the same time. Such a missed opportunity. I actually think the theatrical release is better because it wisely cuts some of the convoluted stuff, but nothing short of a rewrite could fix it properly.

Colm Feore in looking to see what would make him pop as a Big Bad through his filmography is difficult. What is missing is the work that he did coming out of 'abscurity' in 1999, in the $35M TV miniseries - 'Storm of the Century' "Give me what I want and I'll go away." The delivery alone is worth his time in Chronicles.

Rewatched this a few weeks ago. I had thought the Underverse stuff and the getting the girl out of the prison were two different movies and not in the same. Now I'm pretty sure I never saw the third one. Watching the trailer for Riddick it looks like they just redid Pitch Black but added the bounty hunters from Chronicles.

I get that you guys like Vin Diesel as an entrepreneur actor but he does seem like a pain to work with. Yes he takes it seriously; too seriously!! I think he has too much control over the fast and furious films. And as much as I enjoy ‘ironically’ watching them, can we admit that they’re flawed and stupid?? Sometimes I think Griffin ignores how bloated and commercial those films are because of Vin’s ‘independent spirit’. Like that doesn’t make them billion dollar car commercials. I’m not saying you can’t enjoy them, I just don’t get why Marvel is destroying Hollywood and FF is saving it…
