A mediocre movie. Better than the first. Bill Murray is overrated.
Will Rogers
Labrynth another baby abducting movie

That was a low moment for TTF. Yeah, it's as totally in the shadow of another song as it's possible to be. Yeah the rap about proton packs is corny. But it's an awesome song that was a hit in the charts. Much better and more interesting than the movie they were talking about.

Ghostbusters 2 is the most prophetic movie ever made , it completely predicted Twitter Aka the river of slime.
Jack o Diamonds
He didn't go in the river tho, that's point. Branagh would have drank that shit
Kevin Fennell
It’s always the quiet ones

Quick change is the fucking best. Gotta watch it if you haven't. shalhoub, robards, bosco, tucci, Kurwood smith, phil Hartman! 80s new york, there's like 100 Ben's in the movie.
Michael Goldberg
With the commentary about Murray’s checked out performance in this movie, I propose that the opposite of “bathing in the river of ham” should be referred to as “soaking in the river of pink slime”
Parker Winship
Good ep but disappointed there’s no discussion of the strong implication that Egon is fucking the positively charged slime. How does one fuck slime? Intriguing questions
Matt Grossman
Afterlife a 1 or 2? I feel like I saw a different movie. It has its issues but the tone of the sarcastic humor is one thing I felt Afterlife nailed.

Ghostbusters sequel. 5 year time skip. The gang has been busting ghosts. It has been a challenging and interesting career and the team is satisfied. But! It turns out the world needs ghosts and as they are busted the ghost world that protects the Earth has begun to tear allowing more powerful cosmic horrors in. They have to let the ghosts out from all the containment units around the world stopping the invasion but leaving the world in a sea of angry ghosts causing the ghost apocalypse. Next movie is ghost mad max.

I would like to know if Peter MacNicol is on David’s spreadsheet for this year for Supporting Actor, and if not, who beats him out?

David’s Kurt Fuller appreciation made me think- Wayne’s World mini-series?
John Blood
How Did This Get Made does it with Thomas Lennon.
John Blood
It's cromulent movie.

Avatarland/second mailbag episode around 54 minutes. https://pca.st/796l

I think the boys need to do a one off episode of No Holds Barred since Kurt Fuller is the bad guy, AND it has a ridiculous movie theme song like they sang about in the episode!

Quick question. In the G2 commentary, they don't say their MIB2 idea because they said they did already in a mailbag episode. I remember it being teased several times, but I don't recall them saying it in an episode. I was curious if anyone knew where to find it or if it was always teased and never shared.

My wife and I walked out to On Our Own at our wedding reception! Love that song. I was 11 when GB2 came out so of course I thought it was awesome and it was the right age to leave a big impression. I still randomly think of Peter MacNicol’s performance and crack up. Also, Labyrinth is another 80’s baby in peril movie…it’s a weird theme I never noticed.
Joel Barber
Trump is in the music video for the Bobby Brown theme song.

The problem with 80's sequels in particular is that conventional Hollywood wisdom routinely dictated that the relationship(s) driving the original film needed to be completely undone and remade. The two worst examples which stick out in my mind are "Jewel of the Nile" and "Another 48 Hours."

I contend that Year One is good! I rewatched maybe a year ago and remember being pleasantly surprised.
Blank Check with Griffin & David
Sorry about the echo! I updated the episode file and resolved the issue. - Producer Ben

As a kid we randomly had the ghostbusters 2 vhs but not 1, so I saw it roughly 100 times before ever watching the first. Gb2 is such a weird movie but I do love it to no end
Nolan Beattie
Formerly sending a request to fight David for saying “I Just Called To Say I Love You” stinks
Jim Portant
I’ve only seen the 1st & 3rd Ghostbusters movies in their entirety and have no particular nostalgia or affinity for this series but… I find Griffin’s enthusiasm for Ghostbusters pretty endearing which makes even the parts of GB2 that he seems less enthused about kinda fun. Or maybe I was just in a weird mood. Big fan of the show. Keep up the good work, the two pals.

Fun fact, I realized my marriage was over on February 14th, 2016. Valentines day.....bummer

Love the boys but they’re insane. That BOBBY BROWN song rules. Not a great GB theme, but it’s so good as a song!

Woah lots of echo. Particularly when David gets excited. Thankfully this is Ghostbusters II so that doesn’t happen often. Good example around an hour forty.
Andrew Newbury
Love ghost David in the end
Dave Pallas
I don't know why you didn't rewind to have David see the ghost montage. Anyway, nice echo in the last 45 minutes. Them being annoyed by Ghostbusters 2 is incredibly disappointing to me. I'm now really worried the amount of yum they're going to yuck come Afterlife.
Joanna Patterson
I didn’t go to a lot of movies when I was a kid, but somehow I saw Ghostbusters II in theater (having not seen the original no less!)…as a result, I freaking love this movie. I love it more than 1, which I understand is a bad take but I can’t help.
Kevin Fennell
It’s my birthday tomorrow. I saw this one first. I love it.
Jordan B. Anderson
having just seen Afterlife, this is gonna feel like a bergman
