the most jamejerous bond...

I can't believe how much Pepper talk there is in this and Live and Let Die

This movie starts with some great ideas and then makes some infuriating and baffling choices. The whole movie becomes incredible sweaty. For a few minutes - mostly the scenes with Christopher Lee, it is one of the best films of the series. But these scenes feel out of place from the sheriff and the slide whistle.

YETIS SUCK THANK YOU BEN

Allison Anders series when!

As a Brit, David should know more than next to nothing about Hammer films. 😉
Jack o Diamonds
Idris Elba should be the new j.w. Pepper
Chris Fyvie
Now I need to know if Griffin ever watched Blind Date or Surprise, Surprise.

Came here to say this.

Apart from the cringe racism I liked this more then alive and Let Die. Still mid but also the one that was on tv the most when I was a kid.

Coaxium bits 👍

I would genuinely be curious about Ben's recommended mics and audio gear over Yeti stuff

Ben's nicknames are references in Mortal Kombat 11: https://www.reddit.com/r/blankies/comments/e5lxsv/video_game_designer_included_reference_to_bens/
Jonas Hayes
Wait did they mention that David is in one of the mortal kombat games?

“Who would pay a million dollars to have me killed?” “Jealous husbands, outraged chefs, humiliated tailors.”
Tom Lowery
What about Yeti cups and coolers?

I love the Island at the top of the world as a kid. Had no idea it was made in 74. I had a teacher that would show it all the time in class when I was a kid.

I’m realizing that the JW Pepper stuff really reminds me of Raymond Burr being spliced into the original Godzilla, woof
Rad Rodge
Yeah hahahah, it really is wild. The fellas were correct about him looking instantly old in this movie but just for Live and Let Die, he really looks a solid 10 years younger than Diamonds are Forever Connery, as I think Gourley, Mira, and PFT contended on the ole James Bonding

I’ve observed that the Bond collection tends to float around between services. It just left Amazon, and currently seems to be in limbo…is there any confirmation of where it’s going to land??

Why don' they credit Vega as a special guest on this episode.

The most economical way I found to get around this was to go on ebay, and buy the Bond 50 box. It's missing skyfall, spectre and the new one, but I snagged it for 30, which is cheaper than buying the two more boxes separately or renting online.

Guys Christopher lee has a power metal band very different
Spencer Kindra
I don’t know if there’s supposed to be any meaning behind it, but since Griffin was so baffled by the name, Mary Goodnight is an invention of Ian Fleming. Her character appears in OHMSS, You Only Live Twice, and The Man With The Golden Gun.

I'm genuinely surprised there was a one Season run of a JW Pepper TV show in the late 70s.

Speaking of Roger Moore looking older, note that Moore was born 3 years before Sean Connery.

Truly fuck amazon prime for taking off all the bonds as soon as this series started heating up. First the tick, now this.
Damimoon Sunbeam
Yeah... Kind of annoying that they put all the Bonds up, and then removed them all after about a month. Good one, Amazon.

I loved this movie as a kid.... Obviously it's one of the lesser Moores, but as a child, that didn't seem to bother me. I saw this in s double bill with 'Live and let die' ... It looks pretty cheap in places. This is one of times when they tried to harden up Moore's Bond by having him slap a woman (oh boy....) I think as I kid, I was probably excited because it has a laser in it, plus a car does a great stunt (almost totally undone by that stupid sound effect) & Scaramanga's car freaking flies!! Oh, James....

Sand Gun > Golden Gun

Stupid Amazon prime

Man, this is probably the Bond I've seen the most times, even though it's not a particularly great one. The song is so good and I love all the martial arts stuff, and the whole concept of Christopher Lee's character is just so COOL. Excited to listen.

cinema as an art form peaked when Bond said "bottoms up" to Andrea Anders, and the film then cut to a shot of a bottom going up
David Strecker
Alright, perfect, ill just pull this up on prime, i know its there cuz i saw it was free there yesterday..and clickety clack..oop..oh farts, nvm on that. Now i gotta rent, jeesh. starts around 3:30
